Chapter 9

Jesus Who Obeys His Parents

In a small house at Nazareth lived the boy Jesus,
Mary, His mother and Joseph, His foster-father.

Jesus in His young years obeyed His parents,
helped them in their work and grew up in favour
before God and men.

Let us sing

I will obey, yes I will obey,
Father and Mother, Sister and Brother;
And I will walk, yes I will walk,
In the way shown me by Jesus I'll walk.
I will do good; I will do good,
And by my love I'll make Jesus my own;
And I will share, yes I will share,
All the good things God has given I'll share.
I will help my father and mother.
I will do all the possible work at home.
Jesus wants that I obey my parents
and elders. Like Jesus, I will obey my parents.
I will help them. I will carry out the
small items of work entrusted to me at home
and grow up as a good child.

I will help my father and mother.
I will do all the possible work at home.
Jesus wants that I obey my parents
and elders. Like Jesus, I will obey my parents.
I will help them. I will carry out the
small items of work entrusted to me at home
and grow up as a good child.

O Jesus! the model of obedience,

teach me to obey my parents and elders.

When he does bad things, he cries. When the teacher

face accordingly.

Let us memorise

and in divine and human favor’’
(Luke 2:52)
